Web App of the Week: World Book Day (UK) – Free download

This week’s Web App of the Week is created to celebrate the 25^th year anniversary of World Book Day and provide you with both an informative and enjoyable Accessit Library user and learning experience to celebrate the occasion.

Designated by UNESCO as a worldwide celebration of books and reading, World Book Day is marked in over 100 countries around the globe.  Celebrated in the UK on the 3rd of March, this year’s milestone 25th Anniversary event shares the message for all children: ‘you are a reader‘ – endorsing reading for pleasure from a young age.

 

There is a whole new range of books for beginning, early, fluent and independent readers that students are able to purchase by using their free £1 book token!

 

World Book Day are hosting 4 exciting online events which you and your students can get involved with, and you can also get involved with our World Book Day Web App.

We’ve created images and added interactive games for you and your students to use in your Web App, as well as a link to the World Book Day book tokens so your students can access them with ease.
