Web App of the Week – Sydenham School
Web App of the Week is an award for outstanding users of Accessit Library. It’s a place to recognise good-looking, useful user interfaces and somewhere to turn to for inspiration.
This Week’s Web App of the week is awarded to Christine Joseph and Hannah Briscoe for their user-friendly, engaging, and interactive dashboard as well as their success with our new ‘reserve and deliver’ function during COVID-19.
Christine and Hannah have worked together to create an inclusive dashboard which students enjoy at their busy Library.
“Our students love it as it’s allowed us to create an engaging and interactive platform, offering not just information on books, but links to podcasts, author interviews, games and even a live link to a kitten rescue sanctuary. What’s not to love!”
The success of their beautifully executed dashboard with their students is shown through the colossal 17,000 books issued from Sydenham library in the last academic year before COVID-19.
While COVID-19 was a huge challenge for schools globally, Sydenham School was able to use Accessit in an innovative way to continue using their library. The ‘reserve and deliver’ function along with ‘quarantine mode’ enabled them to quarantine and deliver books to students throughout these difficult times.
In Accessit it is easy to create an attractive and interactive dashboard for your students to enjoy, enabling students to use the library whether they are at school or not.
Accessit Library is truly a whole school resource that enhances digital classrooms, allows parents to make book choices with their children and provides multitudes of reporting options to demonstrate reading progress to the SLT and OFSTED.
