Web App of the Week: Matariki
This week’s Web App of the Week was created to celebrate Matariki and enable you to have a Maori new year focussed Accessit Library user and learning experience.
Matariki literally means the ‘eyes of god’ (mata ariki) or ‘little eyes’ (mata riki). According to myth, when Ranginui, the sky father, and Papatūānuku, the earth mother, were separated by their children, the god of the weather, Tāwhirimātea, became so angry that he tore out his eyes and threw them into the heavens.
If you like what you see, we’ve created these images for you to use in your Web App. Click ‘Download Now’ (you need to be pre-logged into ALeC as an existing customer) to use the Matariki content, specially designed for use on your Accessit Library Web App.
