We prefer the personal approach, so we’re particularly proud of our friendly team here to support you - let's meet some of the team now ...
Jure is the grand wizard of customer support at Accessit. Whilst calmly solving all your technical support issues, holding your virtual hand through installations, and helping you to get to know Accessit inside-out, Jure can also eloquently converse with you in four different languages. He’s also mastered a fifth – the ability to translate the jargon of the tech gods into a language us mere mortals can understand.
Christine leads our customer support team, bringing to the role her extensive experience as a school librarian, a cataloguer for the National Library of New Zealand, and a reference librarian in the special library sector. Part of the Accessit team since 2007, Christine values building long lasting relationships with clients. With her gentle, ever-patient voice, she’ll have you zipping around Accessit in no time. Did we mention she also squeezed in a Bachelor of Music to her repertoire and has been teaching piano since she was 14?
Working for seven years in a secondary school library, and as a mother of two, Katherine really understands Accessit from the hands-on point of view of a librarian, learner and parent. Known for her chirpy voice on the customer support desk, perhaps you’ll click with her over her latest fad, or her love of motorbikes – but if spark plugs aren’t your thing, Katherine also has a BA in Visual Arts and a Masters of Art and Design. Yes, she really is that cool.
One of our software consultants, Bonnie is quick, witty and can tell an amusing anecdote about almost anything – just try her! With a BA in Information and Library Studies and 10 years' experience working in libraries, Bonnie knows how crucial it is to find a library system designed by people who really care about the challenges faced by those in education today. In her spare time, Bonnie manages her reading addiction, limiting herself to filling ONE book bag at a time.
Janette is one of our product representatives. Having worked in specialist libraries, university libraries and school libraries for over nine years, she feels passionately about ALL students having the tools and opportunities to learn in their own style, no matter their age or ability. In her spare time, she’s recently taken up mountain biking, and is also a long-standing softball player, having even competed in the World Masters Games.
Jo is in charge of those crucial parts of the company that often go unnoticed – the very bones and structure of the business. With her sparkling energy and sharp mind, she is usually three steps ahead of you, having thought through every detail to the nth degree – including the things everyone else missed. When she isn’t nurturing the roots of the business, you'll find her elbow-deep in soil, potting, planting and tending to her own garden.
Head of data migrations
David focuses most of his experience and time on data migrations, where he project manages the extraction of data from legacy library systems to Accessit. He is a whizz at making it all happen seamlessly and effortlessly for our customers. He does this with the support of a skilled team of software engineers, able to do amazing transformations of legacy data, giving you back cleaner, tidier and more functional data as a result.
Chris is one of our very clever software developers. With a BSc in Physics and Computer Science, he loves the fact that every problem has a solution - it’s just a matter of finding it! When he isn’t calmly solving coding riddles, you're likely to find him throwing a frisbee in a game of Ultimate or disc golf, or coolly calculating a game plan before a hockey match.
Anna, who first came to Accessit while completing a BA in English Literature and Theatre Studies, now applies her talents and training to the production of video tutorials and in assisting the customer support team. When she's not identifying as 'the voice of the company' (self-titled), you could find her spinning around the salsa dance floor or waltzing down the hospital corridors as a clown doctor in training.
Phil is our Accessit Library product manager and head of the talented software development team at Accessit. Another of our electrical engineers, Phil is incredibly skilled at building secure and robust systems. What he finds most satisfying though, is to work in a team where everyone takes great pride in creating elegant software solutions that actually matter and make a real difference to our customers.
One of our highly skilled senior software engineers, David can turn his hand to just about anything. Having joined the team in 1999 after studying electrical engineering, he thrives on the challenge and reward of problem solving. David loves being handed a fresh canvas, then mapping out every intricate detail of a new feature from the ground up.
A 'big picture' thinker, Martin's job is to weave together every aspect of the company to ensure Accessit not only meets the demands of our customers and the market, but surpasses them. With unwavering trust in his team he's built a culture of creative freedom, ownership and accountability. But don’t be fooled by the suit, you'll also find him on the edge of a snow slope, the start line of a triathlon or the top of an advanced mountain bike track.
